monterey is probably one of my favorite places to visit since my parents used to lived here before moving down to so. california. and since we’re now in the san jose area, it’s the perfect drive to take my daughter so she can explore some of my old favorites.
dennis the menace park which is a kid wonderland, probably one of the best parks ever and i secretly would love to do a family photo session here:
fisherman’s wharf where there was a random piano asking to be played and two sea otters enjoying their octopus.
pacific grove where rock climbing and squirrels go hand and hand. 
and of course, lover’s point where when the pink flowers are in bloom, seems to bring so much happiness. 
there was dancing, painting, singing, reading, running, exploring, snuggling, laughing, maybe a bit of crying but overall, an overload of fun and sweetness for my last mini session of the day, right?! :)
this amazing mom of these beautiful kids was surprised with a mother’s day gift for the mini sessions and i think that even i may be in love with these images! such a beautiful family and enjoy the sneak peek! i am excited for our family session in july and i hope you are too! :)
and you know that if dad is there, i’m going to make him jump in the photo too :) 
i am still smiling and laughing while going through their photos, which means that it was pretty fun! we loved watching a deer wander through the barn and fields, playing with a caterpillar, swinging in the air and running around being silly and goofy with the parents. this family was amazing and i’m glad that dad joined us too.
and isn’t her smile absolutely priceless! 
my amazing friend from high school started up a new etsy company, called ear ink which is temporary ear tattoos with so many different styles. this is perfect for toddlers, especially if you don’t want to get their ears pierced. naturally i’m going to take photos of my daughter sporting her robot creation but really, i can’t believe how she seems to be born model (oh goodness, help us when she gets older!). 
i think that you can also tell that she is a photographer’s daughter. she loves her camera and i catch her checking the back of it to make sure she’s properly “exposed” :-)

i can’t believe how cute, sweet and beautiful these two are! this little man was so much fun and i loved how many sweet cuddles he had to give to his mom plus he gave me some sweet hugs too :)

five amazing moms and their wonderful children joined me on saturday to capture their moments as mom and child(ren). even though it was a bit windy, i hope that everyone enjoyed spending some time in front of the camera, playing, painting or cuddling. keep an eye out this week for some sneak peeks and here are just some of the cute little detail shots from the day:
also, i only provide mini-sessions once a year: to celebrate mom. i feel that mom’s spend more time behind the camera capturing photos of their little one or little one with dad that there aren’t too many pictures with mom. so i love to do mom and me mini sessions just before mother’s day so mom’s can get in front of the camera and spend some time with their little ones. as a thank you for the mom’s joining me, i provided them with an thank you gift.
enclosed their special bags were healthy snacks to refuel after the session, a blank frame with stickers and a wooden decal so mom and child can pick a photo from the session and make a frame together, some yummy smelling soap for mom to enjoy, colorful pinwheels for the little ones, thank you card (which is printed by moo so each card is a different photo taken by me) and a business card.

it was a beautiful weekend in los gatos to spend some time with this family! their son was absolutely amazing and so much fun to hang out with. we threw rocks, listened to some music, played soccer, picked flowers, whispered secrets to his future sibling and gave lots of hugs and kisses. i had a lot of fun and can’t wait to meet the new lil’ one
